Toward a respectful workplace: UX&I signs the Diversity Charter

The diversity of our society is also reflected in the business world. The goal of the “Diversity Charter” initiative is to value and harness this diversity. UX&I is committed to its guiding principles and is advancing its own organizational structure accordingly.
The Diversity Charter sets an example for valuing all employees in Germany, regardless of factors such as origin, gender, worldview, or physical and mental abilities. It is based on the conviction that diversity in the workplace is an asset, both on a human and economic level. To date, more than 3,900 companies have committed to the six principles of the Charter.
At UX&I, respect and mutual recognition have been central to our culture since the company’s founding. All employees should be able to develop according to their abilities and aspirations and contribute their unique personalities, talents, and qualities. To this end, the entire team is continuously working to create an organizational structure that fosters freedom and moves away from rigid job titles and hierarchies. “I spend most of my day at work, so I don’t want to have to compromise who I am. Nor do I want my colleagues to have to conform to some ideal. It also benefits our work when not everyone acts and thinks according to cookie-cutter patterns. Diversity is a given. We want to convey that to the outside world,” says Nina Souris, Senior UX Lead at UX&I. “By the way, pay is also a key factor in achieving greater equity. We’re currently working on a fair and transparent compensation model, free of the gender pay gap or other inequalities. There’s still a lot to be done, both here at our company and across the country. That’s why the charter is such an important initiative. The many companies that support it serve as a strong motivator.”
