UX&I certified as a Great Place to Work®

Shortly after receiving the Bertelsmann award for “Family-Friendly Employer,” UX&I is pleased to announce another certification: The UX consulting firm is now officially “Great Place to Work® Certified.”

Great Place to Work® is an international research and consulting institute that certifies companies according to strict guidelines for an attractive and forward-looking workplace culture. The certification is based on anonymous employee surveys as well as an analysis of HR initiatives and programs. The focus is on aspects such as fairness, respect, pride, credibility, and team spirit.

“Good employers have one thing in common,” says Sebastian Diefenbach, Head of Client Consulting at Great Place to Work®, “they are committed to credible, fair leadership and the active development of their employees.” These core principles are firmly anchored in UX&I’s corporate culture and are seen by employees as essential: “We all receive and take on a great deal of responsibility. It starts with the fact that we decide for ourselves when we sit at our computers or when our vacation fits best. But even matters of substance or our organizational structure aren’t dictated from above; instead, they’re shaped by each and every individual, or by semi-autonomous teams. That’s what makes the work meaningful to me. In addition, we work very closely together and complement one another in our three disciplines: UI Design, UX Concept, and UI Engineering. This also means that we naturally advise and empower one another,” says Mona Reimholz, UX consultant at UX&I.

This means that the company’s internal work processes and culture are firmly linked to its business model: UX&I advises organizations on user-centered thinking and focuses on empowering its clients. Tobias Schlei, managing director at UX&I: “Who works for whom, technology for people, or the other way around? We see UX&I as a stance on this question. We don’t just think in a human-centered way, we work that way, too.”

Along with the “kununu Top Company” seal and the Bertelsmann Foundation’s “Family-Friendly Employer” seal, the “Great Place to Work” certification marks the third employer award for UX&I this year.
